Building systems for health NGOs
Rethinking how people find information across 13 committee pages
A recent conversation with Tue Ingemann Paarup pushed me to rethink how I approach communication systems.
Not the visuals.
Not the messaging.
The access.
While working on the newsletter and site structure for the Infectious Disease Alliance, one issue kept showing up:
Information existed.
But finding it felt like work.
So instead of adding more pages, I started restructuring how access works behind the scenes:
Connecting 13 committee pages to one shared system
Designing a single “dial-in directory” as a central access point
Making updates flow across both newsletter and site from one place
It’s still in progress.
But the shift is already visible:
From scattered updates across documents
To one place people can rely on
In global, multi-stakeholder environments, this matters more than design.
Because when access isn’t clear,
coordination slows down—even when the work is strong.
Still building this out.
But the goal is simple:
Make the work easier to find
so the work itself can move faster
Curious how others are thinking about this—
How are you reducing friction in your communication systems?
